July has been off to a great start at Lajollacooks4u! Just last week we had the Hellerstein family join us for our Farmer’s Market Tour + Farm-to-Table Cooking Class.
This family of five traveled all the way from Maryland and Los Angeles to celebrate their mother, Ann’s, special birthday. Together they toured the Little Italy Farmer’s Market with Chef Jodi and then reconvened at Lajollacooks4u to create several delicious dishes, including Roasted Cauliflower Steaks with Cauliflower Puree and Sautéed Mushrooms and Sunchokes, Herb-crusted Halibut with a Caper Vinaigrette and Peach Crisp with Vanilla-Goat Cheese Mousse. They couldn’t believe how incredibly delicious each dish was!
Says Ann, “We spent six hours with Chef Jodi during my birthday weekend. We began at the Farmer’s Market, selecting spices and fruits, and then returned to Jodi’s lovely villa and created our luncheon. I would recommend this experience for any special occasion!”
