Last week, we kicked off the fall season by hosting 27 members of ResMed for one of our signature cooking challenges! The San Diego-based medical equipment company brought their marketing and customer insight teams and together had a fabulous time competing with one another while preparing a gourmet lunch at our La Jolla venue.
At the start of the event, the group broke into three teams, with the Grill Team preparing Herb-Crusted Chicken and Salmon with a Caper Vinaigrette, along with Grilled Broccoli and Mushrooms. The Appetizer Team made Pastry Tarts with Fresh Basil Pesto, Cheese and Tomatoes and Pastry Tarts with Caramelized Onions with Mission Figs and Gorgonzola, while the Dessert Team prepared Mini Cheesecakes with Chocolate Sauce and Strawberries. Each group even collaborated on an informercial, where they marketed and “sold” their delicious concoctions. Everyone had a blast working together, and once the dishes were prepared, each team member was able to enjoy the gourmet cuisine – all while taking in the amazing views atop Mount Soledad.
