Earlier this month, Chef Jodi paid a visit to North County Olive Oils in Encinitas. There, she met owner (and fellow Les Dames member) Sue Bush Robers, who led Chef Jodi around her beautiful shop and gave out tastings of her delicious Californian olive oils and vinegars.
She also enjoyed learning more about the company and the olive oil production process. North County Olive Oils is unique in that it represents many varietals and cultivars of local California olives and specifically looks for producers that promote sustainable practices in the grove and throughout their daily practices.
Chef Jodi was inspired so much by Sue’s olive oils and vinegars that she brought home a couple of bottles of her own. She can’t wait to use them during her own group cooking events at Lajollacooks4u!
