Springing into Spring!
At Lajollacooks4u we are jumping, bouncing, and springing into the Spring season! We are very much excited for the many things that shall be coming up in the next few months. But first things first, let’s wrap up February.
A preliminary announcement: Chef Jodi’s Lajollacooks4u cookbook is in production! We are steadily selecting, formatting, and building recipes and menus to include in our upcoming cookbook. Now you can own a copy of the popular recipes frequently featured in the gourmet cooking classes of Lajollacooks4u. We will certainly keep you posted with more on that.
Over the last few months, Chai @ Beth El, the young adult group from Congregation Beth El, has been making appearances in our kitchen. The first class explored Asian cuisine in January; then the group got fired up in February with Latin cuisine. With two more classes to go, the Chai group will be joining Chef Jodi again on March 19, 2014 for Californian Cuisine. (Interested in joining? See here for more details!)
February also saw a handful of fun and food-loving guests. Two San Diego couples joined Chef Jodi in her kitchen to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a bonding experience centered on their love for food and each other.
The second party included two married couples visiting from Atlanta and New York, looking to escape the freezing temperatures of the East Coast, who met up in sunny La Jolla for a delicious and engaging birthday celebration.
We are also looking forward to upcoming team building events with local and national companies, where teams are invited to collaborate in a friendly competition to produce the best dishes of their customized menu, interacting in ways that establish a sense of unity, pride, and enjoyment in their work.
Can you believe we’re already three months into 2014? Well those of us at Lajollacooks4u are still confident that 2014 will be the best year yet.
