As the days get longer and warmer, the chickens start to lay more eggs. With the beginning of Spring, March is the month for eggs. I’m sharing my favorite way for getting the perfect hard-boiled egg. This is an eggcelent way to cook your eggs and once you try this method, there’s no going back.
Arrange cold eggs in a pot and cover them with just enough water to cover them. Bring water to a boil over high heat, cook for 1 minute. Immediately turn off heat and let eggs stand.
12 minutes of standing = golden orange yolks
15 minutes of standing = bright yellow
To peel the eggs, drain pot of water, give it a little shake to get the shells crackin’, cover in ice water, then peel away!
