With Football charging into the scene, we have team-building events that are a touchdown!
We kicked off Fall with one of our most competitive team-building events yet! Ten members from LogistiCare joined us for a truly memorable cooking and dining challenge. We started the event off by breaking the group members into two teams of five. Each team then was tasked to collaborate in creating and preparing their menu of delicious, gourmet meals. With two distinct menus simultaneously being prepared, a feast of food was the result of the team-building experience.
The first drill in the cooking challenge was to complete the hors d’oeuvres of Pizza Rolls. In the Pizza Roll breakdown, Team One worked on their Pepperoni Blitz, while Team Two took on Mushroom Madness. An Apple, Pomegranate Seed and Fennel over Greens salad topped the first cooking quarter along with 2010 King Estate Pinot Grigio. (Want the recipe? Click here to learn how to make the salad!)
The teams then moved to the next play, taking on two different entrées: a Mustard Seed Crusted Beef Tenderloin as well as a Blackened Salmon with Chimichurri Sauce. Seasonal vegetables, chopped and grilled, with Orzo and Feta were included with the entrées, complimented by 2010 Josh Cabernet Sauvignon.
The ultimate head-to-head challenge brought out the true competition with Mini Dessert Shooters. One team took on the chocolate-extravaganza known as “The Mudslide” while the other took on the delightfully fruity Lemon Curd shooter.
The touchdown celebration was then held at the dining table where the team members reconvened to exchange their action-packed stories, share much laughter, and appreciate the fabulous meal they had co-produced.
